The STD screen includes testing for syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. Testing for HIV, as part of the STD screen, is optional.

Female patients are assessed, in the course of the physical exam, for vaginitis (i.e. trichomonas, bacterial vaginosis, and vaginal candidiasis/yeast infection).

The herpes virus and HPV (also know as genital warts) are assessed for by physical exam, but not by actual testing in our STD clinic. If you are not symptomatic for herpes or HPV, but believe that you might be infected with either of these viruses, please talk to our clinician about your concerns.
