When you are tested for HIV at CCWS, you will meet with a prevention counselor for a confidential prevention counseling session.
This session gives you an opportunity to: clarify your knowledge about HIV-related risk behaviors and helps you to consider strategies to reduce your risk behaviors; learn about the different HIV testing options available to you at CCWS; ask any questions you might have; and decide whether or not you want/need to be tested for HIV.
If you choose to be tested, you will be given the option of testing “anonymously” or “confidentially,” and asked to sign a consent form indicating that you are making an informed decision to be tested for HIV.
